Allison Stroman is a Brooklyn-based actor, singer, and dancer originally from Bethesda, Maryland. Beginning their artistic journey at age 2, Allison joined choral groups, dance ensembles, and acting programs in addition to working on their art is any classes they could find.
Allison will soon graduate New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama and a second major in Psychology.
A graduate of the Atlantic Acting School and the Atlantic Acting School Vermont Program, Allison has a deep understanding of a wide variety of texts and characters from Deianeira in Women of Trachis by Sophocles to Laura in The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams to Liz in Avery Deutsch’s The Winter Guard Play.
Allison continues to study stage combat under the teaching of J. David Brimmer and has taken voice and dance lessons through programs at NYU.
Allison’s interest in and study of psychology enhances their understanding of the mental depths of characters they play and how a character’s history proves impactful on where they are in each moment of the piece.
Allison has dabbled in technical theater with a concentration in scenic design and scenic construction, culminating in their position as the Scenic Designer for the inaugural production of Viscera Theater Collective, Lost Girl by Kimberly Belflower.
Outside of the performing arts, Allison loves to read fantasy books, cook, bake, sew, and draw.
